Both opener and responder bid a minor

After a 1m opening, if responder bids a minor, a major fit has been denied. In this case any subsequent bid of a new suit is stopper-asking:

• 1C > 1D
• 1C > 2C
• 1D > 2C
• 1D > 2D

Although rarely useful, the above also applies even if opponent has interfered. For example, in the following example

• 1D > (1S) > 2C > 2H

2H asks for stopper in hearts.
